You will have heard of barge lengthening, and shortening, and of deepening the hold to increase capacity. This is barge widening. Get your brain round the logistics of that. The barge was also lengthened subsequently by 30 metres.

A beautiful 28 metre Belgian Luxe Motor. AEM surveyed the vessel in Holland as a commercial ship, delivered it to our base in Belgium, re-engined the ship using associates and delivered it to the Thames, where we oversaw a full conversion.
