Narrow boat surveys

We have over 35 years experience in working with narrow boats, building, repairing, restoring, lengthening, re-engining and so on. We apply this direct practical experience to narrow boat surveys, for purchase, insurance and damage purposes. All surveys are accompanied by a comprehensive and detailed report which will include clear priority graded recommendations and suggestions. The surveyor is always available for reasonable consultation afterwards on any points arising, or indeed for any general advice you may need later.

Standard Narrow Boat Survey Rates.

Year 2010 fees for Pre-Purchase Condition Surveys on modern welded steel narrow boats (up to 25 years old) and up to a value of £50,000 are as follows:
Up to 50' long and less than ten years old    £590.00
Up to 50' long and more than ten years old    £620.00
Over 50' long and less than ten years old    £650.00
Over 50' long and more than ten years old    £690.00

The above fees are inclusive and include travel up to 50 miles radius of Rugby, but we will work anywhere as required. Detailed and analytical reports are produced including graded recommendations and suggestions. Defects relative to present interpretations of the Boat Safety Scheme are identified and an opinion on valuation is included. Fees are payable by credit card.

Different scale charges may apply to boats valued in excess of £50,000 or of riveted construction. Please call or email for a specific quote.
